Okanagan Valley

It seems like forever since I have posted anytihng on here, we have been pretty busy plus our main laptop stopped working, so it took a little while to get that all sorted out. I will try to make up for it now and get all caught up on our adventures!

After we left the beautiful little town of Hope we drove to the Okanagan Valley to spend a couple of weeks exploring the area. Our first stay was at a beautiful little park in Okanagan Falls. Our site was right on the beach with a million dollar view.

We spent our days on the beach and in the water, and Haydn went fishing every chance that he got. We spent some time driving up to Penticton and Summerland and taking in the beautiful views. We also went hiking at Shaka Bluffs provincial park, but the mosquitios were out in full force so we had to get out of there pretty quick. There had been lots of flooding in the area very recently, so a lot of the parks and shorelines were well underwater.

The next park we stayed at was in Lake Country, BC just an hour up the road. All of the beachfront sights at this park were completely underwater, so the beach area wasn’t really very accessible. While we were here, the kids and I spent one day at Kangaroo Creek Farm. It is an amazing little place that has all sorts of farm animals that you can hold and pet and feed and get right in the pen with them. The best part and the highlight of the trip for all of us was getting to hold the sweet little kangaroo babies and snuggle them for a few minutes.

We also took the kids to a huge indoor playground where the kids spent a couple of hours exhausting themselves on all of the fun activities. They all tried out rock climbing for the first time while we were there and found out that they are all a bit scared of heights!
